BioBuzz Scorer for iPhone and iPad

BioBuzz Scorer is a free scoring calculator and match timer for BIOBUZZ presented by RTX, the 2026-2027 FIRST Tech Challenge game. It is built by FIRST Tech Challenge Team 36633 Luminary, works in landscape, and is made for scoring quickly at the field.

How to use it

• New Game scores both alliances. Pick a category in the middle, then use the red and blue panels along the bottom. Press play to run the match clock with the field audio cues. Save when the match ends.
• Calculator is a quick one-alliance tally. Tap a row or a cell, then use the plus, minus, or wheel. Nothing is saved.
• Timer runs the full sequence: 3 second countdown, 30 second Auto, 8 second transition, 2 minute TeleOp, with the warning at 0:20.
• History and Analysis lists saved matches and shows totals, averages, win rate, and ranking point rates.
• Settings holds your team number, default alliance, ranking point thresholds, sounds, and sharing.

Frequently asked

My score does not match the official calculator

Point values follow Tables 10-2, 10-3, and 10-4 of the Competition Manual V1, and flower ownership follows the official calculator. Check that both apps have the same Auto and TeleOp entries and the same flower stacks. If you still see a difference, send both screenshots to the address below. Always treat the official calculator and the referees as the final word.

Ranking point thresholds look wrong for my event

The app ships the published values for regular events: 16 SWARM points, 4 tips for POLLINATOR 1, and 7 tips for POLLINATOR 2. Regional and Championship values are announced in Team Updates and can be changed in Settings.

No sound from the timer

Check the speaker button next to the Start button and the Sounds switch in Settings. The cues play through the media volume, so turn the volume up. They play even when the ring switch is on silent.

What data does the app share?

Anonymous score data only, no personal information. Details are in the privacy policy. Turn it off in Settings with "Share anonymous scores".

Can I delete my history?

Swipe a match to delete it, or use Delete All Matches in Settings. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device.
